Summit Financial Advisors Opens Northbay Office
May 1, 2018 - Summit Financial has opened a new office in the Gossage Building in Petaluma, California. For 20 years, the firm has principally served individual clients on the Peninsula, San Francisco and San Jose. This additional location will allow their advisory and service teams to meet the needs of their growing client base in the Northbay.
“The size of our staff has grown along with the number of clients we serve and assets we manage,” said Rafael Velez, founding member and investment adviser. “Over the last few years, an increasing percentage of our new clients live in Petaluma and Novato. Our new space will allow us to better serve these clients, add professionals to our team and allow for a truly personal relationship for new, local clients.”
In addition to the new office, the firm has recently hired Cathy Yarger of Petaluma, California to serve as the firm’s communications and partnership manager. She brings her 20+ years of experience is relationship management to the role where she is responsible for all client and public communications. Cathy added, “Before I joined the team, I was a client. I truly believe that many families can benefit from working with a trusted and knowledgeable advisor. Our team is independent, experienced and have tremendous expertise in all aspects of personal financial planning. The Gossage Building is a Period Style brick commercial building. It has Ionic type plaster caps and a partial cornice serving as a cap above the windows. There are small corbelled type brackets above the block mullions on the second floor. From the Petaluma Argus on April 13, 1909:
“The building will be one of the finest in Petaluma and will front on two streets...the upper floor will be fitted up with modern office suites and an elegant lodge room with ante rooms, banquet hall etc. On the first floor, J.A. McCallister will occupy a store with frontage on both sides. A new drug store will occupy the other Main Street store. The building will replace the old Thompson building now being demolished and which was one of the oldest landmarks in the city.”
